Looks they had a nice finish again.  They beat 5 ranked teams, including #1 Illinois and #5 Georgia Tech.

We were there yesterday to watch for a few hours. The 4th place fnish, aganst a very strong field, should get us into the top 15 once again.

One of our players, R Fricker, who played only as an individual, finished T6 at -3 and will likely move into the team starting lineup next time.

C Correa was the leading USF team scorer in 5th place at -4, followed by R Fernandes at -3.

I realize that the Men's NCAA Golf site only shows this poll. I don't know why they don't show the other golf polls, especialy since the Coaches poll doesn't come out weekly, like the other polls. The next release is April 3. So it often is not really current.

"The Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Polls will recognize the top 25 teams plus all programs receiving votes in Division I, Division II, Division III and the NAIA. NJCAA Division I and II rankings will include the top 10 and teams receiving votes. The first poll of the spring will debut on Feb. 20 with subsequent release dates on March 13, April 3 and April 24 with the final spring ranking on May 8. Final rankings will reflect results from each respective national championship."

In recent USF golf releases they don't even mention the coaches poll. They usually cite the GolfWeek or GolfStat ranking for USF as being the two major polls. There is also a 4th poll by BirdieFire that ranks USF currently #9 as of March 18th which doesn't include the latest tourney.

How are the individuals ranked? Same haphazard way? Is there no official (a la the PGA) ranking?

It is confusing. I don't know all the particulars to be able to calculate it accurately. Different golf courses have different pars and degrees of difficulty, and I believe they take that into account in some way. So, it is somewhat similar to how the PGA computes the true scoring averages for individual players in order to come up with the #1 player to get the Vardon Trophy.
