LOL, I am by no means a fan of Obama, but dude you have to be kidding. I doubt Obama gives 2 violation about us.

 

He doesn't even know who we are. Thinks we are on South Beach. Tells you all you need to know about the guy

 

 

The man has been a terrible President, but you sound like you need to be BakerActed.

 

Lol. He is so lost so there is no way that he knows who USF is. At least G W knows USF. Ask B O who USF is and he will tell you the Univ of San Francisco. He has no attention to detail yet ESPN puts that clown on to make hoops picks

Should probably ask this in the 'cow, but how is the Baker Act constitutional? Seems tailor-made to deprive someone of due process...

Not having looked at this in years, but from memory: It's temporary in nature, requires a showing that you are a danger to yourself or others, requires an evaluation within 72 hours of involuntary placement and a court hearing with 5 days (unless continued for some reason). Also, they, or someone on their behalf are entitled to file a petition for habeas corpus with the circuit court at any time.

No court hearing prior to any involuntary commitment but pretty sure they have to have a court determination if they intend to keep you there.
