Taggart's fine...

I don't know why many of you here expected a win today...

I expected us to be better than we were out there. We can make the argument that we have not really improved much, if at all, over last season.

I agree that Coach Taggart is fine, but there needs to be some changes on the assistants on staff.

So next year we win 4 games... got it.

By 2020 we will finally get "there" - a 10-win season.

With the excuses around here we wil never win more than 4 or 5. We are a young team. He needs his own players, we are rebuilding ,we are going to do this right..........

He's improving the culture of football at USF. Behaviors take time. Why would anyone with half a football IQ think this year's team was going to be any better than 4 and 8.

Agree, but I expected to be a little competitive....this is a joke

jim won against better competition with less talent and they weren't juniors or seniors. Anyone care to rember when Blackwell started? Her was not a junior or senior

It's not just the wins and losses, but you expect to see something building from week to week.

It's not the defense. The defense just needs more bulk and maturity.

The offense. CWT's vision has USF playing like the second half at Tulsa.

But here's the problem:

(1) We need talent at every position to be at that level -or every team we play has to have less talent than we do.

(2) Since he's been at USF, he's improved the RB position. That's it. Maybe the other improvements are on the team but are redshirting. Don't know.

(3) That offensive scheme. We have never had a great O-line at USF. Can he put together an O-line for next year? Unless he can get great QB play.

Yes, the team can play a little bit on occasion, when they are emotionally charged up. But they haven't shown the ability to do it for the whole game.

Unless he's going to dramatically change the talent to fit the offense next year, I don't see how it's going to get better.

If I were the AD, I'd sit him down and talk about it now. If it's going to be "steady as she goes," this is not going to work out. We hardly have any fans in the stands. And this team has not improved from week to week because we don't have the players to run this offense.

The only way he can salvage anything is to go back to the spread and use Flowers and Bench. But I don't see that happening. And so I don't see CWT sticking around after next year.

Hopefully less emotional responses today and the sauce has worn off.

Houston's strength (D) was our weakness (O). If you saw any other outcome yesterday you're misguided.

Lots of sunny blue skies ahead for USF. Tough to see cultural changes inside the program. Leadership is being built and it's painful to watch the losses, but things are changing.

nothing has changed and most now see it

we have no capable qb and without a capable qb you cant compete at this level

He is a horrible coach who runs a boring offense. Things will not get better around here with cwt as the head coach.

I totally agree football is a passing game now and we have no good qb in sight. Why would a quality qb want to come and run our boring offense? If I was a qb recruit I'd go to a place that let me throw the ball, that's what the nfl is looking for.

My expectations of most of the fan base is right where thought. I never expected most to get it or see it. Thanks for continuing to validate.

What do we not get? This team sucks and is not improving. Other coaches can take over teams and you can see improvement. Scoring 3 points against Houston is not improvement.
