6-18 is one thing.  Barely winning some of those games against awful football programs and never being in many games that they lost is even worse.  Of the other 6-18 teams out there over the past two years USF would lose to most of them.

And looking at his wins at WKU:

2010 One decent win and the other in OT out of 2 wins that season.

2011 Two OT wins, 1 one score win out of 7 total wins.

2012 3 one score games (3 one score losses), 1 OT win (and 1 loss in OT) out of 7 wins. So 8 games his last season were 1 score games going either way.

His teams At WKU seem to not be able to win decidingly about half the time.

 

I believe Willie was a prop 48 player coming out of high school.  I don't think he's got it between the ears to be a good head coach.  Running back coach is probably as high up the food chain as he should be.

I don't see any good in firing Taggart now.

 

We are in a lower league and Taggart has shown he can recruit. Changing coaches will just mean we start the rebuilding process again.

If taggart looses to UCF next year and misses a bowl he will be gone and Harlan better hit a home run on the next hire. If we could bring back CJL I'd do it in a heartbeat but highly doubtful he comes back. Kinda sickening to me that we fired a coach who slapped a player and covered i up while O'Liar killed a player and tried to cover it up but still has a job. Shows that one school has integrity while the other just wants wins at any cost even if they have to sell their soul to get them.

The recruiting class this year doesnt look real good so Taggart being a good recruiter is questionable. We know he is not a game coach and this is exactly what we need right now. With the talent level we have available there is no reason we should be in year 4 of a no bowl drought. Willie will get next year but I wouldn't be surmised if he is fired during the season if he gets to 7 losses or starts out 1-4 or worse.
