I have been blessed and can say I have eaten at all of the top BBQ places in the US. You name a style, and I can say I had that markets leader...

For me, and it is purely preference, this is my all time favorite

I fly it in as as often as possible

You've had BBQ caribou in Alaska?

I've had smoked Caribou up there, and it was much better than I thought. They ship lots of AK game & fish (of course), so if he hasn't had it, he can probably get it.

My fave here in TX is Railhead BBQ, although there's a hole in the wall place that recently jumped it. I like TX BBQ, but prefer GA or NC more. Weirdest place I ever found good BBQ was in Winter Park, CO. There's a place in town there that's great!

Slick: traditional slow and low, purely southern, mid-south, and SW

I've eaten some crazy stuff all over the world... Israel and Australia are by far the craziest food locations to date... Reptiles, rodents, kangaroo burgers, and all sorts of craziness

ditto, it's fun to remember. Carnivore in Kenya: rhino, giraffe, baboon, zebra, wildebeest etc. it was interesting but I def understand why everything chases wildebeest now, yum.
