I would just add, a mid major won't work here. Rightfully or wrongfully, we'll forever be held to the standard of a rising p5 program by all accounts we should be. That's why even winning in this conference we are in danger.

That's why those folks that knock the past and yearn for a conference championship drive me nuts.  Who cares when you win the AAC?  It's like yearning for 6th place in a 5 horse race.
