When the offense hangs 30 on the scoreboard every week, no one cares that the OC doesn't go to offensive meetings. Until then, everything is a thing.

Who cares how many meetings he goes to?

CWT is the "CEO" of the football team ... our CEO at my company rarely attends our sales meetings - that is the sales/operations manager's job to lead that.

I do guarantee, though, that our CEO sits down our operations manager to dictate what he wants covered in that meeting.

I'm sure CWT is doing the same thing with the coordinators and/or position coaches.  Therefore, since the meetings are about what CWT wants them to be about, no reason for him to attend.

Does your CEO also usurp the sales/operation manager's job on "gameday", because CWT sure took the OC's job.

No he didn't.  It's quite clear that in the Taggart era of USF football, playcalling is not part of the OC's job, so no one's job is being usurped.   Based on CR's comments, that could have changed with Coach Wulff, but I doubt it.

On this board, everything is a thing, no matter what.

He's right, but I wouldn't say it's just this board/fanbase. If Spurrier loses 7 games this year, someone is going to say he golfs too much. If Leach doesn't go bowling, he's not nearly as eccentric and fun.

I simply suggest that you check with someone in the huddle on the offensive side of the ball on how many meetings Coach T attends for the offense and the QBs.

Didn't he publicly state he didn't go to those last year despite calling the plays?

And how did that work out?  Calling plays that required packages of players that weren't on the field at the time.  There were a lot of issues.  So far the OC has been calling the plays.  There was a reason the play clock came into play so many times last year.  It wasn't all on the QBs.

A pretty good comback comment to a troll on ESPN [comments]:

Here are some UCF things USF fans wouldn't understand since our program was established in 1996. UCF has had eight losing seasons during this time frame - three more than USF. UCF has won three bowl games during this period. One less than USF. USF has a 4-1 series edge on UCF - including a 64-12 shellacking in a season where UCF was C-USA champions. But yes, UCF beat the worst team in the history of USF football by a score of 23-20 when UCF was at their pinnacle moment as a program. I must say, I'm glad USF fans don't understand the mentality of a UCF fan.

The news about USF QB White is on ESPN (NCAAF) front page... About time, however -- there are a few UCF trolls there too.

Excellent re-post. I see Mike17777777777777 is alive & trolling anywhere he can. What a douche.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
