@UNLVRebelNation: Just a guess but think Dave Rice will get extension he wants and will stay. Know key people around program want him to stay.

And this is what we get for having our President involved way, way too deeply in USF Athletics.  We are essentially neutered by a crazy woman who knows violation about athletics.  We truly won't improve unless she gets her fingers out of the athletics pie or the BOT has finally had their fill of her micromanagement and gets a replacement in here who can effectively manage that side of the university through great hires and letting them do their work.  If they don't get it done (AD level only) then get them replaced.  The AD is in charge of the coaches and their hiring and firing. KNOW YOUR ROLL!!!!

Did I miss something where it said Judy has anything to do with this search or are you just making that up on your own?

Judy hired the search firm, fired Stan Heath, fired Leavitt, blah, blah, blah.  What part of Judy's deep involvement given Kevin Keener's resignation don't you understand?  I can't make you see the forest through the trees, that's entirely up to you.

So was he actually in Tampa or did he just say it so he could get a raise/improvements?

I think Rice is a done deal.  He'll meet and talk in circles with UNLV AD a bit, shake hands with her, pack his bags, and head to USF.

Worst. Search. Ever.

Agreed.  USF athletics has become a sad state of affairs.

Truly depressing

Yeah, offering a guy with 70 wins, 2 NCAA appearances, and 5 5-star recruits in 3 years. Such a joke...
