I said it right after the game, the Notre Dame win was a total fluke.

The base argument for a transfer QB is the need for 4 on the roster. Who do we have after tommy white and flowers?

Floyd was saying he would transfer out himself

Bench

Tommy White? Maybe Weight Bench or Cut Flowers?

Dude, he missed a comma.  It happens.

i was just messing wit him.

Notre Dame completely shredded our defense all day long, but our defense created turnovers at just the right times.  Fluke or not, anytime you can get off of a storied/ranked/highly favored program's home field with a win is huge.  No matter how ugly or flukey it seems.  Ask McNeese state, oh wait, that wasn't a fluke.  ;)

Skips first year success was a result of the CJL recruiting class including the Clemson win. The wide spread expectation was that the team should only improve as those players matured. We all know what transpired the next two years.

CWT is rebuilding the talent level and my belief is he will do a much better job of coaching. Also IMO he has has put together a first rate coaching staff. I was impressed that he disregarded loyalty when he fired the OC. That tells me he is serious about winning.

+1

I also have faith in the system; it's a tried and proven system, not one that CWT drew up himself.

But we have to see some results this next year. We can't stink like this year and say that things are getting better. #winsomegames

Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled by the win, but watching the game showed that we had some real problems.

I can understand if you weren't at the game, but we went and were ecstatic with the win. The ND fans looked like someone had kicked their puppy. Never forget that game so long as I live...

EDIT: to clarify, yes it did have a flukish quality to it - not disagreeing with you - but if you were at the game it was very easy to overlook the issues you referred to.

5 games later, the opposing team's USF played that season did the same thing to USF that USF did to Notre Dame. And the fact that Snyder couldn't do anything to stop the bone headed plays makes me think he's overrated as a DC. How many times during those games did he play the DBs 10 yards off and they got the underneath route over and over again?

Maybe it was easier to be more objective by not being at the game and not being wrapped up in the emotion of the crowd.

Which was apparent and proven, as we saw Texas A&M play similar defense and basically won/lost their games on the backs of Johnny Football. Watching Snyder (and Cosh's) defenses were entirely frustrating.

2011 started out good as the ND win had them flying high for a few weeks as they beat up on Ball State, UTEP (?) and FAMU (I think), but once we got back to real competition, it showed where the team truly was. 2010 ended up okay as Holtz piloted most of Leavitt's guys through a promising season, but 2011 you could see the talent that had left after 2010 had diminished things.
