The only thing that has me doubting willis is a UCF student is that "departure" is an awfully big word for a UCFer to spell correctly. But I guess even they have spell check on their computers.

Buddy of mine (booster) says it was from basketball violations with players/recruits and Judy is using it as cause to remove the under-performing AD and start an immediate nation wide search for a replacement.

This sounds most believable.

We have made similar moves in the past.

Find an opportunity and exploit it.

Is Genshaft a mafia name?

Regardless I am in favor of the removal, if that is what we will call it.

I just have to wonder where we will find the money to pay a top-flight AD, but then again I'm not the Treasurer nor am I made.

Don't over think this.  Woolard got the hook because he was awful.  Under his stewardship, USF athletics regressed by all metrics.

 

Teams got worse,

Conference got worse,

Revenues got worse,

Fundraising got worse,

Attendance got worse,

Future prospects got worse.

 

In addition, Woolard was an ineffective administrator. . . . . nothing got done.

 

Sundome naming rights deal has been going on since 2007,

People left and were slow to get replaced (McGillis) or poorly replaced (Chris Freet)

 

 

Guys, Woolard was a disaster these last few years.  Why look for reasons, when the reasons are right in front of us.

Yes, his "American" tour will certainly result in much swag, seeing that it's from our competitors. They may hate to see him go though...how dramatic.
