In that case, Tuxedo Yoda says he hears whispers that either USF, BYU, Boise or UCF are going to get a new stadium.

Why is it that we have that mega page 'Realignment Rumors, Conjecture & Superstition' thread, but we don't do the same for the topic of OCS? Why are the two subjects moderated differently? Seems like having one giant corral for the dead horse herd would be the way to go. 'Cause until the stadium gets built - or there's a firm decision not to...this subject is gonna be around. Much in the same way that as long as there's some disdain for the AAC and a yearning to sit at the big people's table, that 'Realignment & Rumor' thread is gonna continue to see visitation.

The main reason is that the OCS topic comes up so sporadically that there's usually a ton of pages in between threads and you've got newer members who haven't had the pleasure of hashing it out ..... but I think it's a very good point. I hearby decree that this is the official OCS Rumors, Conjecture & Superstition thread and all future threads dealing with the mythical aspects of our OCS will be merged into it.

Why not just pin it to the top of the threads? That way it's always in one spot and can be removed at the end of its lifespan. Given the redundancy of the text in place, wouldn't that be a good starting point for anyone who is late to TBP?

Anyone who opens, reads, or contributes to the repetitive OCS threads has no reason to beotch about the thread. Of course they all say the same thing, we all know that. But remember the old adage, if you don't have something nice to say...

Announce already.  Give the alumni and recruits some hope that our current situation is not permanent.  Would make fundraising a lot easier.

100% agree. There's no harm in announcing it. So what if it takes 10 years to raise the funds? At least get the ball rolling and give the fan base something to work towards and look forward to. I would donate money (albeit a small amount) the day they start fundraising.

If you're talking about over and above what you already give ... fine .   but I think that's part of not announcing anything until they have a strong handle on how they were going to finance it.

Back in the day we had JimUSFSig's OCS piece pinned at top but then the subject died for a couple years.

I see nothing wrong with the subject routinely surfacing. The oldtimers should be able to handle it.

And

Yeah, I s'pose y'all are right. It's just that it's tempting to look at the thread in the hopes that something original or new has developed.

In any event, I s'pose I'd hear it in a press release from Fowler Avenue if there was anything substantive.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
