So many people quick to hail him as the king after one game vs a terrible pass defense.....

UCF fans are right, we have some delusional people on here...

Until the kid proves it week in and week out and against much better defenses than Houston, keep your expectations low and stop foaming out the mouth.

Yea... We are slightly early on assuming he is the next great USF QB, but man he has the track record!!

 

Did you see his high school stats? Did you see his decision making ability in the game last night? He looks like he can do what he did in high school in the college level.

Yea... We are slightly early on assuming he is the next great USF QB, but man he has the track record!!

 

Did you see his high school stats? Did you see his decision making ability in the game last night? He looks like he can do what he did in high school in the college level. 

 

Yea I saw him force a throw into triple coverage with no chance of being completed in the redzone.

Kid made good decisions but he also made plenty of mistakes. Hopefully he continues to improve, but all of you need to temper your expectations after a single measly game against a piss poor defense. Just like when Eveld help beat Miami and people were harping on him being better than BJ, the hype ya'll are creating for this kid is just as disturbing. Wait till he at least plays a handful of games before slobbering on his jock.

deters is just in denial. That is all. He has been reading too much Voodoo5. Too much negativity he has read. deters will disapear after this season because White will have impressed all. That is my prediction

True, we need to see more, but his starting debut was the best ever (passing wise...BJ still has the best, beating FSU).  But we see the raw talent.  Touch, poise looking downfield, and accuracy.  Some mistakes, for sure, that he'll iron out over time.

 

No one's gushing, but there IS reason to be optimistic...and no reason for some to bust a nut to temper that enthusiasm.

we have gone through 3 QBs in the last 10 games with sub 200 passer ratings according to espn. below 40% completion percentages, way more turnovers than TDs.

 

there is reason to be optimistic for sure. I think we can expect him to be very good against bad defenses(couldn't say that about old QBs), maybe just above average on good defenses and probably struggle a bit against great defenses. I certainly feel much better than with the last 3.

It was a great game for White, but this is a defense that QBs from Southern and UTSA also lit up and prior to the Rutgers debacle was giving up 275+ per game to quarterbacks. Lets see what he does against a real defense before we anoint him savior.
