So I didn't place a bet and yesterday discovered the line is 18. Thought it was a sure thing at 14. But 18 gives me pause.

I hope you have a serious red zone defense then.  That was a complete collapse for us with 8 trips to the redzone with 5 FGs, 1 TD, and 2 with no points.

 

Of course, we had our old starting QB then (new one is better and that was his first game against an FBS opponent.  Notice the old QB went 5-7 both years he started.  But I don't want to speak poorly of a player whose career was ended by injury).  And our starting RB who is much better at short yardage was also out that game.

 

But yes, we should have beaten Temple worse than we did.   Another thing to notice, UH actually won the TOP battle that game.  Only time this year and one fo the few times in the last 5 years.  Winning the TOP stat for UH is a bad thing.

That last paragraph makes me hopeful. Our 3 and our offense will give UH fits with the opps for TOP dominance I think.
