I think you guys are missing the point. White was never coached by Skip Holtz, so that makes him a Taggart guy. It's the same reason we all viewed B.J. as Leavitts guy still even after he was gone. As long as White has'nt been tainted by Skip Holtz's awful coaching then I really could'nt care less who recruited him.

Holtz never even offered him. Yeah, Scott was talking to him, but there was no offer until Taggart made it happen. He's Taggart's guy. End of story.

And no doubt B.J. was a Leavitt guy, his first game starting was in 2009 at FSU when Leavitt was still here. That's not even debatable.

Again, if the ten minutes Taggart spent evaluating White makes you think he's a Taggart guy and that makes you happy, go for it.

But Holtz and staff were clearly planning to offer him and doing their due diligence before hand. He wasn't a guy on Taggart's radar before he stepped on the USF campus.

So I think it is ridiculous to call him a Taggart recruit. But why give Holtz credit for anything at all, because he is clearly the root of all evil.

Taggart had tried recruiting him while at WKU. He knew who the kid was and that he wanted him already.

Really?  Then why did Scott have to show Taggart film?

I think not.

Believe what you want.

So basically Taggart has no recruits according to the standards of some in this thread....

Now you are catching on.

But not really. Callaway was a Taggart recruit from beginning to end.

He was scouted, recruited, and offered by Holtz so according to you that makes him a Holtz recruit....

Wow you idiots

That was all I read of this post.  Then I put you on ignore.

Only read the first line and then posted your thoughts? Gee, what a surprise.

Don't know how you could have missed the point of my post.   /SARCASM

Yeah, I made that up.

“As soon as they hired coach Taggart, Coach Scott showed him my film and they offered."

You realize this is a high school kid talking at that point, right?

You really think CWT just took the word of Scott at face value, after probably just meeting him, without having known about White previously?

Also, White played at one of the best schools in Florida; a school that had a ton of D1 prospects last year. I don't know if Coach T was recruiting White for WKU, but it's outrageous to suggest that Taggart didn't know who White was.

Also, this conversation is dumb.

Just offering a branch here, but since Holtz is out--not coming back--and Taggart held on to White and White held his commit, I'm not sure it really matters who recruited him. You guys are usually closer to the same page than not, not worth this.

I'm ready to see if he's ready, though--like tomorrow night!

My rule of thumb is if I see a conversation I consider dumb, i don't add to it ....

Taggart owns White. He had the choice not to offer him, but he did.
