Mike White is starting against Houston

I think the other positive is Taggart expects to have talent coming in during the next recruiting class at QB, so there is little reason to try and hold white for an extra year.  Maybe that is just wishful thinking....

Not that it matters but I spoke with my sources within the program and they indicated White had a great practice and the team rallied around him. Guess we'll find out if he can move mountains in three days.

I believe that. The kid looks like a leader from what I have watched of him in HS. He was on the sidelines encouraging all of his teammates during that state championship game. I honestly  thought he would never step foot on campus as I was thinking he was going to commit to baseball. It seems that scouts new he would commit to college and backed off a little bit which is a good thing for USF. Glad he is getting the chance now instead of waiting for next season. I believe our QB problem will be solve, and I cant wait to see USF build around this guy. We will have the running game too, so it will be a great situation on offense before the season is over.

That doesn't mean you throw him in the deep end and let him drown.  Sometimes they need be pulled out of the water a few times before they can swim.

He did say "if needed". We don't know yet that MW is the savior some think he's going to be. I hope he comes in and does such a great job that they won't even think of taking him out but In case he doesn't, you need Bench ready to go.

The thing with Bench is that he is better runner than White, so I can see CWT bringing him in for certain situations.
