The most you can technically enroll in one class is 25. You can enroll 2 more, if you did not take a full 25 the year prior, and they can count towards the previous class which brings your actual enrollment to 27. The bigger issue is that you cannot exceed 85 at any given time. That means that by the time the freshmen enroll in June that our total scholarships cannot exceed 85.

If we are signing 28-30 (which I believe will happen) then we expect a few not to qualify and we will probably place them at jucos.

I responded before I saw the pillow fight on page 2. But what I posted is still accurate and has been for years. The only thing that has changed is the NCAA cap of 28 letters of intent.

Also, I forgot to mention that the 2 that could count to the prior class need to enroll in January.

I was just quoting what was said in the Voodoo Five radiocast by 247sports employee/recruiting analyst Josh Newberg. He stated that he expects USF to over-sign in the area of 28-30 recruits. I did not say anything past that. Miami currently has over 25, as will plenty of schools once late January rolls around. 

 

Some of the kids that have committed to us will not qualify and be sent JUCO or to prep school. It happens every year.

Texas A&M signed 32 players in 2013. So it looks like more than 25 or 28 is possible in some circumstances.
