This is hilarious (not being condescending or anything) debating about who has the better freakin' airport in terms of realignment.

the sad thing about it they have no idea what i meant. If it's the big 12 we are talking about than we are talking about travel for fans and teams. Orlando dwarfs Tampa in terms of number of flights, airlines and thus it's cheaper to fly to.

Unless the entire USF campus moves to channelside, USF will always be at a disadvantage.

UCF's campus is really nice if you like parking garages and that shyte-brown brick feel of an office park... Plus it's in the beautiful metropolis of Bithlo

Because USF being located in the heart of Temple Terrace is really something so much better than Bithlo...

USF is in Tampa, not Temple Terrace and especially not the heart ...

Yes, USF is gerrymandered into Tampa city limits while being surrounded by Temple Terrace bordering it on 50th and University bordering it on BBD and Fletcher

I think by "surrounded" you mean "is next to."

Suitcase city and Nebraska avenue. End of discussion.

Sure, 3 sides is not completely surrounded, but USF is a small Tampa Peninsula. Or perhaps an isthmus to the park next to the Claw.

You're about 1/3 right on your math.

Yes, 1 side is Temple Terrace and 2 sides (technically about 1.8) are University. Tampa city limits extend south of Fowler and catch the North eastern tip of the university (50th and Fletcher) and extend out to the Claw and the park.

3 sides are not Tampa.

Nebraska avenue and suitcase city on one side and Temple Terrorist on the other.

UCF Football doesn't even use Orlando International. They use the Sanford airport. UCF has 2 Airports within 30 minutes of campus. The advantage of Disney and Universal is that you can get a direct flight into Orlando from just about anywhere, Domestic or Abroad

The advantage of Tampa is that it's not Orlando.

This is true. Why go to Florida and not be on the coast?

Maybe you like construction, terrible traffic, and no water?

And lack of history.

The whole point of the comment was, you can't really give UCF **** for being located in Bithlo when we're gerrymandered into Tampa.

Yes you can.  So there.

Well, sure you can, but no one outside of a this forum will take you seriously.

Not exactly an argument I would really think of having outside of this forum ...

Why do you have a pic of a guy pissing on GOL, and him apparently enjoying it, as your avatar??

not a locker room guy?

Airport is not a deciding factor. Most P5 schools are in the middle of nowhere.

+1. Ofcourse Tampa's airport is more efficient and has less delays bc it has less traffic. Orlando is a top 2 tourist destination in America every year. The city and airport argument is a wash when you have Power 5 Programs located in such cultured locales as Starkville, Mississsippi & Lubbock, Texas. Orlando is a good college city bc the market hasn't been watered down with Pro Franchises. The better city to raise a family argument/crime rate   is not coming up when ADs and President's make Expansion decisions.

What I don't understand is, on a near 400-page thread with topics ranging from realignment to the latest airport-schlong comparisons, why a dose of sense had to be dropped in.
