I guess that's where we differ. I don't think there's any chance on earth McNeese has more talent than we do.

collectively at key positions?

you assume that because of the name on the front of the jerseys. sorry but one of the worst talented teams in d-1 could easily have less talent than a d-1aa school especially at key positions.

No I assume a team with players like MacFarland, Dunkley, Davis, Price, Robbins, Watson, Lynch, Mimms, Giddens, Chandler, Cliett, etc. can at the very least hang with McNeese or FAU. All of those players were recruited by or came from schools with a hell of a lot better names on their jerseys.

sorry but if we had so much more talent then all we need to do is play pitch and catch on offense and bully them on defense. you guys give way too much emphasis on coaching(x's and o's). schemes are very similar across college football. there really aren't ,many innovators. the difference lies in talent .

like I said before, you can't expect to win when your QBs are directly responsible for more points for your opponents than they are for you. doesn't matter who else you trot out there.

one defensive player on michigan state has as many TDs against us gievn to them by our QB as our leading QB has for us and those 2 were garbage time against a 1-aa team.

So the difference between Nick Saban and Skip Holtz is just recruiting ability?

Give the coach a chance. 3 games does not define the man. He is playing the hand he was dealt.

Like I said last night.

It's okay to call the coaching bad. It's stupid to call for his head.

Taggart is going to do well at USF. It's going to take time though.

do you honestly think there is a coach at our level(not talking ohio state, alabama, etc) that would come in here and win with our QB play?

how many QB turnovers have led to immediate TDs? 2 picks for Floyd. 3 fumbles for eveld and a pick for bench. I'm probably missing some. That's more than we have scored on offense the entire year.

Skip beat Miami with Eveld.

Yes, I think there are coaches would could beat McNeese State and FAU with these awful QBs

BJ started that game. I'm sure if Miami game planned for eveld it would have been different as evidenced by every single game since then. BTW he had much more talent then all across the board.

he also lost to ball state with Daniels.

Great. This team shouldn't be losing by double digits to FAU and McNeese. There is plenty of talent.

floyd threw a pick 6 and another returned to our 16. shaw fumbled on our 7. that's 21

eveld fumbled for a defensive TD and Bench threw a pick 6 against FAU.

you could put these QBs on a national title contender and if they keep giving the ball away for points and playing as poorly those teams wouldn't be very good either.

you're as strong as your weakest link. unfortunately QB is the most important link.

It's not the 0-3 that bothers me. It's losing by 32 and 18 to McNeese and FAU.

It's the result of several factors including poor coaching. I don't care who the coach is. That's not acceptable.

I'm not calling for Taggart's head. He walked into a terrible situation, but something has to change on his end.

This isn't losing. This is getting our **** kicked.

for the most part yes.if you gave skip saban's team and gave saban ours, skip would beat him 90% of the time. that and game management. we haven't lost due to game management though.

it's not the x's and o's, it's the jimmy and joes.

I just got dumber having read that statement. If what you're saying is true, why would anyone hire a college coach to be an NFL coach? For instance, Jim Harbaugh?

Or is the NFL dropping GMs and the draft in favor of recruiting?

again 21 points to mcneese. 14 to michigan state and 14 to fau. directly attributed to turnovers. 5 for Tds and the other 2 inside our 20. 6 of them from our lousy QB play. I don't care how "talented' you are if you just give up points like that you are probably going to lose and badly.

right. players have nothing to do with success. it's all about the scheme and game management. saban could beat skip with 1-aa talent vs alabama talent because he is such a great coach.

saban builds a great program because he is a relentless recruiter. he runs a vanilla offense and an ordinary defense but he does it with superior talent.

You're right that has nothing to do with coaching...

I hope we don't hear, "embrace the suck" again. The preseason mantra was terrible. "DoSomething" should be out too.

The team is practically talentless.

We have 0 college QBs on the roster. We have maybe 3 OL that should play at this level. The WR and TE are talented, but have given up b/c the QBs are so bad (they don't sprint on routes so never get separation, which makes QB and OL look that much worse). We have 1 quality RB.

The defense while talented on recruiting websites is not very good, regardless of coaching. DBs are hard to judge b/c the pass rush is still pretty miserable (decent pass rush against MSU and FAU don't really count they are that bad).

This is not a coaching issue. Tag needs to recruit talent into USF. He can do it, but the team will get marginally better at best this season. Next year the entire starting line up will be FR and SO.
