I don't understand what your point is. Everyone one of those guys got an NFL job because they were good college coaches.

Reread this whole thread.  Particularly how recruiting/talent is a primary source of success for a college coach vs pure x's and o's.  Getting the talent to the school.  Running a base scheme with serious talent can win many games. 

 

At the NFL, there is no such thing.  Which is why so many very successful college coaches fail.  Its not a coincidence.

I don't think anyone would deny recruiting is a major part of college coaching, but to say coaching isn't a major part of it is idiotic.

I thought our defense played well. .. turnovers and penalties led to bad situations

Certainly turnovers and penalties were a big issue, but a terrible offense (based on their prior two games) ran over our defense last night. I watched the game last night and saw a Bulls' defense that couldn't stop FAU's offense. I was not at all impressed with our defense last night.

They only scored 14 points if we had any decent offense that is enough to win a game.

Gotta remember if we had any offense that could regularly move the ball the defense would be much fresher.

Defense played well. But we didn't defend the read-option well.
