It's not the 0-3 that bothers me. It's losing by 32 and 18 to McNeese and FAU.

It's the result of several factors including poor coaching. I don't care who the coach is. That's not acceptable.

I'm not calling for Taggart's head. He walked into a terrible situation, but something has to change on his end.

This isn't losing. This is getting our **** kicked.

again 21 points to mcneese. 14 to michigan state and 14 to fau. directly attributed to turnovers. 5 for Tds and the other 2 inside our 20. 6 of them from our lousy QB play. I don't care how "talented' you are if you just give up points like that you are probably going to lose and badly.

You're right that has nothing to do with coaching...

...

....

turnovers have almost nothing to do with coaching.

I guess QB talent has nothing to do with winning either.

put blaine gabbart on the broncos and tell me how successful they would be.

I just got dumber having read that statement.

right. players have nothing to do with success. it's all about the scheme and game management. saban could beat skip with 1-aa talent vs alabama talent because he is such a great coach.

saban builds a great program because he is a relentless recruiter. he runs a vanilla offense and an ordinary defense but he does it with superior talent.

His defense is the most complex in the country. That's per the VT OC, not some fan on a message board.

The team is practically talentless.

We have 0 college QBs on the roster. We have maybe 3 OL that should play at this level. The WR and TE are talented, but have given up b/c the QBs are so bad (they don't sprint on routes so never get separation, which makes QB and OL look that much worse). We have 1 quality RB.

The defense while talented on recruiting websites is not very good, regardless of coaching. DBs are hard to judge b/c the pass rush is still pretty miserable (decent pass rush against MSU and FAU don't really count they are that bad).

This is not a coaching issue. Tag needs to recruit talent into USF. He can do it, but the team will get marginally better at best this season. Next year the entire starting line up will be FR and SO.

agreed. whats scary is how many seniors we start. I guess some on here would blame Taggart for not developing them. it will be nice to get some young guys in here to start over.

+1...very accurate assessment.

coming from an OC that put up 15 against ecu. the same defense that held old dominion to 38.

saban isn't only winning because of his schemes. he runs out of a base 3-4. runs a lot of 4-3. not exactly earth shattering. probably not going to revolutionize college defenses. it's successful because he recruits his tail off and has far superior talent to execute that defense.

Gawd.

I cannot believe the number of people on here who honestly believe that our big losses to McNeese and FAU can be justified by lack of talent.

We start a freshman All American on the Dline. We put in a QB who played at Penn State!

We've been out coached. That doesn't mean I'm calling for Willie's head. I believe he will succeed, he's got the pedigree and is one hell of a recruiter.

I have to step away.

Bull94 thinks the 49ers and Eagles paid for recruiting skills.

Who said he was? Its not just one thing. Saying that anything he does is "simple" is very inaccurate. He wins because he pays attention to EVERYTHING and hammers it home. He is the most prepared coach in football. So what you think is simple, to him he's dissected and gone over repeatedly until that simple thing is very complex and known inside and out. Madden said he went to a seminar held by Lombardi. It was on ONE PLAY and lasted ALL DAY.

tell me next time a d-lineman can prevent another team's defense from scoring 5 times on defense or us giving the ball away inside the 20 on another 2.

opposing defenses are literally averaging 12 ppg against us. those are the actual scores. not the give aways inside our 20. we have 4 offensive TDs all year. our offense is averaging 3 points less per game than their DEFENSE.

ooh a QB who took 8 snaps at penn state before they decided to cut bait. a guy that had a 37% completion percentage last night with 1 TD for us and one for them and everyone on here thinks he's our savior.
