@gregauman: Former Bradenton Manatee QB Brion Carnes, transferring after three years at Nebraska, says he isn't considering USF among his options.

Good, the feeling is mutual.

I have the solution to the QB issue. Seems we have one that can pass and another that does well with the ball when its hiked from center. Use the shotgun with both in the backfield, snap to one, hand it to the other, he passes, problem solved.

I can just see it now:

"So what exactly would you say ... ya do here? Hmm?"

"Well, my job is to take the snap from the center and deliver the ball to the QB."

"Hmm ... Well, why can't the QB just take the snap directly from the center himself?"

"I'm a ball handling person ... Can't you guys see that? What is wrong with you people? I have ball handling skills!"

Snap receiver, lol. SR, not to be confused with Senior or Slot Receiver.

I wouldn't say that he think he's too good for USF. He just said he's not going to USF. Without knowing specifically, I'd think that Carnes -- having barely gotten on the field in three years -- will slide down to I-AA where he can play a lot for two years, rather than sit out another year to maybe play in his final season of college football.

GA, he would be able to play right away at I-AA? Interesting...good luck to him regardless.

I checked his history (write up)...#7 nationally ranked at QB  when graduating from HS ..then nothing....He chose to become a wide receiver per write up .  He played in 3 games 2011 and 1 in 2012...

Is this another Ford?

We have enough issues to straighten out  ..We don't need another welfare PROJECT..

He chose to play WR at Nebraska because he wasn't good at QB and was the #3 QB at best.  They had high hopes for him up there that didn't pan out.

If you transfer down from I-A to I-AA, you're live to play immediately. He'd have two years of eligibility at I-AA ...

One of the great all-time movies!

I even use this scene in class - usually when doing HR.

He should have come here originally instead Skip decided he'd rather take his guy (Gunsby) the first of many gaffes by Skip in QB recruiting. While I wouldn't mind if he camr back home (if we dont get Trickett he'd be the best QB on the roster even after a year at WR and could probably get a hardship of some kind) I dont really want him at the same time.

WOOT WOOT I just get so dam excited when someone actually gets the history correct and doesn't try to re-write it.  Good job man. Skip screwed the pooch on this one.
