They look good early but I expect UF to win. However I'm so happy that FGCU is making this run because it has gotten USF fans to actually watch CBB and see that you can win without tremendous size and talent. You can win by playing a faster game and still be fundamentally sound. USF has more talent and is bigger then teams like FGCU, but these teams understand how to help on defense, how to box out on rebounds, and how to take advantage of other teams mistakes. They move the ball around to get open looks if the break is not there. They are not a great shooting team but they get such good looks by screening, proper spacing, and sharing the ball.

They are shooting great so far.  But, it's early still.

Vega, I'd really like to enjoy the game without the comparisons to Coach Heath in this thread.  Thank you for your consideration.

I'm surprised they've jumped out to the early lead, I figured Florida would try to push them around early and that really hasn't happened.

Florida is more physical....check back in the back half of the second half.

They are definitely more physical, but they haven't imposed their will like they should be able to.  They are settling for a bunch of jump shots, while FGCU is getting to the rim on the other side.

I'm afraid that won't last all game is what I'm saying. Don't know how deep the Eaglets are but if they get tired or into foul trouble UF will find their halfcourt game.

You overly sensitive Heath lover, nobody brought up Stan's name by you. Besides what I said is correct and that goes for more then schools such as USF. I hope you are a little more educated about basketball after this tournament is over. If FCG loses do not stop watching basketball, trust me our future discussions will be much better after the learning experience.

That's how Florida will win imo, especially if the game isn't called tight by the refs.

I agree, but the Eagles seem to be going deeper into their bench than they did the first two games.  A couple of guys out there that I don't recall seeing in either of the first two games.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
