Doubtful that he would commit before he even visits.

Exactly why I don't buy into it much. Although, WVU has the whole family thing going for it. It's going to be a tough recruiting battle. I hope Taggart can pull something off. Trickett should make his way down for a visit here.

Trickett has spent 3 years riding the bench. If he really is a quarterback he's gonna wanna play. Period. USF is the no brainer

You don't know WVU's QB situation enough to definitively say USF is a better situation for him.  It's obvious that USF has the perfect opening for him, but it may not be the only one.

Agreed there, he WILL have to compete for the WVU spot. And why would he want to go to UK? Stoops was part of the same staff who had his butt on the bench.

From the comments about this article:

"I don’t know WV’s situation at QB, but USF needs a QB badly. In the spring game one kept dropping snaps from center and the other might as well have."

OUCH!!

That's a pretty funny description, actually. I'm going to steal that one.

Where the hell do you guys find all of this information? Does any one know if there is any kind of timeline for a decision?

Chances are anything you hear/read without a cited, credible source is from an internet message board, Twitter, or other form of capricious, mercurial babble, and is prone to an error margin of somewhere in the region of 100%.

And then most of the time it turns out to be true.

“@RowlandRIVALS: Hearing that #Kentucky will not pursue QB Clint Trickett"

Hopefully Rowland didn't hear that from the same person who heard Chuck Oliver say Trickett to USF ...

Well we know one thing for sure. No one heard anything of value from YOU.

Here's the interesting thing. If you're a Bulls fan, and if the West Virginia spring game is televised, you might want to tune in. Trickett will be in attendance at that game.

You know that dials up the heat TREMENDOUSLY on Paul Millard and Ford Childress. Trickett couldn't attend the Bulls' spring game because he had his own spring outing to attend, but if he's gotten tape of it...I've no doubt what he saw there made it easy for him to tell he could go there and start immediately. Now the other shoe to drop is the WVU spring game, particularly with Ford Childress who is the golden boy four-star recruit, #8 QB in the country the year he was recruited, 6'5" with a rocket arm, etc. If Childress stumbles in the game, Trickett will probably go to West Virginia. But if Childress kills it? Look for him to come to USF.

That's my take.

@gregauman: Fan asked USF coach Willie Taggart about possibility of a QB transferring from FSU: (big smile) "I have no idea what you're talking about."

****, we can't catch a break with our QB situation. Aside from the family connection, he may want to go to WVU so it'll be easier for him to get into coaching there maybe, since he knows he isn't NFL material anyways. That's the only thing I can see if he favors them over us, because it'll be a hell of a lot easier to win the QB job here. If he's thinking about his future and the next step after football, it could be a smart move for him. We'll see.
