71, you didn't help with those trophies, did you?

No but I did do some Steel etching showing its crystaline  structure.  Pictures were posted in the hallway in 1970 don't know if they are still up or not.

I'd be more interested in seeing what he can do on the defensive side of the ball. Reminds me a little of Elvis Dumervil.

IMO going bothways is a plus.  He's not  going to shy away from contact and as a power FB  to me is a big plus.  He can run or block.  Having been on the defense  has given him insight to visualize running plays.  What I like most about him is his size..and I truly believe that he will play  any position asked by the coaches.  Versatility is a plus..I believe there will be a great future for him at USF and I can't wait for fall season to start.  "ELECTRIC" Swanson..shocking the defense.....

A lot of players coming out play both sides of the ball but the question to me is where he fits best and will make the biggest impact. To me that's defensive end.

We have plenty of depth on DL and desperately need help on offense, especially considering our switch to a power running game.  No brainer to have him on offense.

+1

If he wants playing time (he will), he will slide to fullback

To put this matter to rest:

“Kennard is a tough, hard-nosed player, who brings a lot of athleticism and physicality to our program,†Taggart said. “He will be a great asset to what we’re trying to build on the offensive side of the ball. He was a young man who was passionate about USF and really wanted to be here, so we’re excited to have him join this class.â€

Wherever they decide to play him, I'm sure they'll be happy with him. Wouldn't be surprised to see him on both sides of the ball though. Taggart has experience with that under Jim Harbaugh.

Does anyone know how far away he is from qualifying?

Hopefully HE does, and will do everything necessary to get where he needs to be.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
