Coach B has four daughters.  If he can manage four daughters, he can easily manage 100 college football student-athletes!

---------------------------------------

Maybe.  Or maybe he has been reduced to a blathering idiot.  Daughters will do that to you.   :)

With 4 daughters he is gonna have to handle 100 students anyway.

We still have to pay skip 500K a year. That's factors in to the budget.

He did find a job. Maybe we owe him a discounted 500k

Pretty sure the money was guaranteed with no set off for him getting a new job.

Woolard?

In my opinion the guaranteed post-termination money is reason to terminate whoever wrote that contract.

I'm sorry I'm not wearing the G&G goggles on this hire.

Some people seem to think NFL automatically means results in college whether recruiting or on the field. Remember Bill Callahan or Mike Sherman? It really all comes down to results. Hes statistically had some of the worsts defenses in the NFL consecutively and that team he coached to the SB was known for its explosive offense under Gannon and Rice and got pounded by the Bucs.

Connections can get you anywhere in life.

I remember reading the money was guaranteed but we saved enough with what were paying taggart to cover holtz and cosh's salaries

Umm his defense wasn't that bad at oakland top 10 for a few years.

It will be an upgrade, do you think he wants to come in and fail.

He's coached some outstanding players, which will help when talking to high school kids. Gruden obviously liked him since his brother ended up hiring him in the UFL down the line.

And the main reason he was fired from Oakland in 11 was because they cleaned house completely.

I think we'll really love this hire after the season. Problem is, unless he wants to spend ten years here and retire in the area, if he's successful he'll probably get back to the NFL soon. But that's fine it's what happens when you're successful

I'm lukewarm on this hire. Wait and see...but I'll definitely support him. Go Bulls!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
