If the choice was Durkin wouldn't we have heard something already? The dead period is over these coaches need to recruit.

i don't think money was the deciding factor in his case. we would've prbly paid him a lil bit more to be a DC, but he figured why take more responsibility for the same amt of money. well that's my guess

saw an interesting post of collegefootballtalk.com about Shannon burning a lot of bridges at area Miami high schools... not sure about accuracy, but the poster really seemed to have some good poop on the scoop

Miami fan here at the office said the same thing. That could explain a lot. We really don't have any idea if he was considered at all.
