Based on how fast the Straub announcement came after the Stanford game I believe our next DC has already been selected. Once his current team plays their game the announcement will come.

Guess that bodes well for us since its mostly bcs teams left...

I really like that Straub hire and agree with the above posters. I think we have a DC locked up already and he is waiting until after the bowl game to announce. Only a few teams left, and I like all the options.

However, the only games that are occuring before or on Thursday are the Florida/Louisville and Oregon/Kansas State games.

Rumor mill says that Saban is seeing some medical issues arising from all of those championship rings on his fingers; he might be looking to relocate to a sunnier environment where it's also less likely he'll be burdened with more finger gold to lug around. Idk... if you think about it... I think we have a shot.

take it FWIW but my cousin on the team(plays Offense) said we are looking at Florida's LB coach as a potential DC.

edit: had to look him up, DJ Durkin http://www.gatorzone.com/football/staff/durkin would be kind of a stretch to me since he's never been a DC before and honestly don't know what kind of recruiter he is, but seems like him and Taggart crossed paths at Stanford.

edit: had to look him up, DJ Durkin http://www.gatorzone...ll/staff/durkin would be kind of a stretch to me since he's never been a DC before and honestly don't know what kind of recruiter he is, but seems like him and Taggart crossed paths at Stanford.

Durkin is one of the top recruiters in the state.... and he's looking to move to a DC position... would make alot of sense.
