Wow a possible staff including Shannon, Weinke, Hovan and Blackwell certainly would not hurt one bit in recruiting.

Not to burst any bubbles, but I'm starting to think we won't see a Blackwell homecoming.

Anything to back that up or just your opinion? I ask because I'm still hearing that he's going to be on the staff. That said, he's coming from a GA position at WKU so he'll be the low guy on the totem pole here. That means that all the other positions will more than likely be announced first and he'll get what salary pool is left.

Nothing but feeling. It just seems like we would have heard more by now. I would think he would leave WKU in a heartbeat to come back, he wouldn't be sticking around for a bowl game. Unless maybe the fact that he is a GA has something to do with it. Then hearing Weinke's name being bandied about as QB Coach, kind of hard to see where he would fit.

MB was never slated to be the QB coach... more the RB or WR coach depending on the other staff... I believe he's working with the RB's at WKU right now. Like I said, as a GA he'll get what's left as a foot in the door to a position coach. As for him staying at WKU temporarily, the new staff wasn't expected to be announced at USF till tomorrow or next week. Honestly I believe they're still working out the numbers with Shannon and until that's put to bed you can't do much else. MB should stay at WKU till his contract is completed at USF IMO.

Just gotta have patience.
