Never seen this kind of interest before...wow

I think that is mainly because Taggart is a Florida guy and hasn't been coaching for 20 years. A guy like Holtz is going to have a good idea who he wants on his staff. Taggart is still developing relationships. I'd expect a couple of holdovers, three or four from WKU, and the rest newbies. Could be interesting.

Randy Shannon would be unbelievable.

We truly will be an unstoppable recruiting force if Randy Shannon is riding shotgun on Coach T's bus.

That would be awesome. And while Shannon was somewhat of a failure as head coach at Miami, by all indications he was a very good/great DC there before taking the HC job.

Buzz now about USF DC job under Willie Taggart. Florida LBs coach D.J. Durkin was with him at Stanford; TCU LBs Randy Shannon interested.

If we can get Shannon then its lights out... I'd buy like 4 sets of season tickets if we can get Shannon.

This is the most exciting thing to happen to USF in a long time.. Couldn't produces the W's on the field, but we can dream about the W's that will be produced in the future. I hope he puts together a solid staff, and puts a net around the immediate area in recruiting. I like his personality, looks like he has emotion (unlike SH), definitely has a swagger about himself. Can't wait to see what the staff looks like.

Would love to see Scott and Patrick retained for continuity and recruiting skills.

Imagine the attention we would have at the Miami game? The media would be all over it.

So I see that the assistant coach pool is $1.9 million, up from $1.85 according to this article (http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/content/usf-season-ticket-sales-ahead-last-years-pace).

Fitch - $280,000

Patrick - $170,000

Scott - $170,000

Smith - $210,000 DB Coach - this guy should have his LinkedIn account ready.

Vass - $190,000

Hargreaves - $190,000

Shankweiler - $185,000

Cosh - $325,000 (I threw up in my mouth typing this)

Pathon - $80,000

Can only imagine that TCU doesn't pay its LB coach $325,000. Time to seal the deal for Randy Shannon.

The worst part about Cosh's salary is that it's the only one guaranteed through next year. That's right... we'd have to buy him out.
