I find it Ironic. Nutt played for Lou Holtz and worked him for a while.

Only negative I have on him really is those last two years at Ole Miss before that I would be alot more excited about him as a HC here.

If not for the last two years, he'd still be at Ole Miss or cost an absolute fortune.

I'd personally rather go with Taggart or McGee based solely on the fact that this is a destination job for them. USF doesn't mean jack **** to Nutt, but if he's the guy I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He may just be getting a public interview as a favor or to keep another candidate under the radar.

+1

Don't really understand all the negativity towards Nutt. His overall body of work is really solid, those 2 awful years at Ole Miss shouldn't cloud our judgment when evaluating this guy

Almost have 6 degrees of separation with you guys. I have a USF shirt and a mini basketball. The basketball ball has the old logo on it.

I lived in the tampa area when usf climbed all the way to #2.

1. My sis is a USF Alum and ever since she attended college I have kept up with everything USF.

2. Guys Hire Stan Heath

3. Possibly Hiring Houston Nutt

As much as I like USF, I think the hiring of Houston Nutt will be bad for the program. Yes, it will be good for the short term. His first 2 years are always good but after that talent and recruiting falls off. Lazy recruiter and makes no ingame adjustments.

I wish USF would go after Gus Malzahn.

My 2 cents and please don't take this post as a flame. I appreciate you guys letting me post on your board and I wish you guys nothing but good luck.

Hey, interview doesn't mean job offer. It should be a learning experience for both Nutt, who will know more about the school, and for DW, who will have a better grip what he needs to sell a coach on our program.

Go Bulls!

Wonder why you call him a lazy recruiter... He assembled the backfield of McFadden, Felix Jones and Hillis. Always seemed like he had great talent

There wouldn't be much support for Houston Nutt if he was hired.

Have to think this is just getting a few interviews out of the way for candidates that have no shot at being hired.

Mcfadden committed when he was in 9th grade. Mcfadden and Hillis were arkansas boys and were going to arkansas regardless of who the coach was. Felix I think broke his leg his jr or sr year and a bunch of schools backed off him. I could be wrong but we didn't start recruiting felix til december and he signed in feb.

4-4 I believe was the best this backfield was in sec play.
