I think the fact that there's nothing at all backing up this nonsense pretty much allows the thread to speak for itself .... and besides, if we started deleting all garbage threads, we'd be left with

I don't know. I think it's time USF stops trying to look for a big name to hire and instead tries to create one. By that I mean we should hire a young, unknown coach with a lot of passion.

I think Petrino is the obvious choice.

1) He made a mistake by fooling around with a girl at work. If this is a disqualifier for coaches at universities, probably half the coaches in the country, fail the test. He tried to do the right thing by falling on his sword. Not a pretty sight, no real good way to handle something like this.

2) has run great offensive football programs at the National level. Tom Coughlin called him the":best offensive play caller" ive ever been around.

3) Was brought to the Falcons to QB coach arguably one of the highest ceiling QB athletes in NFL history. Coached Ryan Mallett to be one of the most impressive college QB's in the country. With High upside AW coming in, who better to take a talent like that to neteoric levels.

4) has the name recognition to bring in a top flight assistant coaching staff.

He is slightly damaged goods as are we. It's a match made in heaven. Hire him tonight.

Problem with your number one reason is that he hired said mistress thus abusing his power. So I think this makes him a big no! As well he would be a one and done. We need a program builder and not a one and done.

OMG he hired her. JK it ain't that big of a deal. We are hiring a FB coach, not a priest9(hank god)

Nutt couldn't win the SEC with Darren McFadden and Felix Jones in the same backfield for 3 years. Probably the best tandem since Thurmon Thomas and Barry Sanders at OK State. No Thanks.

No passing game. Only coach in america ive seen that does play action and smoke draw on 3rd and long. Good Luck getting top recruits to play for him.

I know it sounds glib.

But we need to start with a guy that makes the entire building uneasy when we lose.

Skip always was proud of the way we "competed". He gave the players rope and they hung him with it.
