Petrino had both L'Ville & Arkansas in the Top 5 Nationally.

Butch Davis brought Miami back from NCAA Sabctions and put together the teams that Larry Coker took to two straight Natl Championship games (Won 1).

Both are PROVEN winners that have built teams with FLORIDA recruits.

That is the botton line.

Tommy Bowden also recruited well in Florida

The bottom line is that Petrino hasn't left an employer under good terms in almost a decade. He will do nothing but screw the program and leave it in shambles. See Arkansas if you have any doubts.

I want a strong D!

Strong RB out of the Power I formation.

We are in a rebuilding year anyways.

Man I would love that. Notice that when we started doing this, our offense moved the ball this year? On the other extreme, you get teams like Oregon that are all offense, generate buzz, but always lose to a real defense. I'll take defense and pound the rock, plz.

You can have both... Mark Richt is a defensive coach, yet, he has coached some very solid offenses. Brian Kelly actually was a defensive coordinator at one point, though he is more known for his offense, he's actually a defense guy. Stoops at Oklahoma.

Just because you have a defensive minded head coach, it doesn't mean that your offense has to be boring or inept.

Those solid offenses were due to solid players like Matt Stafford, AJ Greene, etc..

I don't get your point? Are you agreeing with me, or, as usual, picking everything I post and following it up with some nonsense? Jesus Christ, give it a rest.

Richt recruited those guys. Along with Moreno, Murray, Orson Charles, Gurly, David Greene, etc, etc, etc... The point was that he is a defensive coach and he has coached some great offenses, with kids he brought in, under his watch. It appears as though you want to discredit that by saying that Richt had nothing to do with it, just great players...

The point is that its much easier to be a great defensive coach with great offensive players. USF's receivers can't receive. And if you don't like or understand what I post, try harder to find that ignore button.

lol at slick..come on man..its very easy to defend when we run the same routes and same plays every time..i mean defenses watch two games and know what our passing attack is. We have loads of talent there.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
