Gus Malzahn has made ir possible for some of these guys to shoot up the ranks rather quickly. Guys a few years removed from high school coaching are usually young, energetic, have new ideas, and come VERY cheap. Malzahn is making $850,000 at AState while Auburn just let Chizik go and its costing them a few million to buy him out plus the $750,000 they had to pay Iowa State just to hire him.

don't know how cheap morris would come if he's already making 1.3 mil as an OC.
