Lots of disturbing things in that article. One that stood out to me; the % of subsidies in our athletic budget. The way that I'm reading this is that between ticket sales and donations, only $6 out of $10 of the total budget comes from those sources. That number may only get worse as people don't re-up on tickets (and possibly donations) next year.

Also didn't realize that Pitt was a private/semi-private institution. Knew that Syracuse was a private school but for some reason thought Pitt was a State school.

Maybe more people would get involved with boosters and donations if we didnt have two years of straight SUCK. If we continued to build off of that 2007 season, we'd be sitting a lot prettier right now.

All it will take is two really great seasons back to back to change the fans attitude.

People are getting frustrated because we are so close, yet so far... we have the talent to win, and the players to win, but thanks to Skippy boy we are now worse off then we were under Leavitt.

Those numbers are for 2011 which was after a 7 - 5 year and a win over Clemson in a bowl game. 2011 and 2012 sucko years have nothing to do with the donation base of USF Athletics.

The donation base might grow if the product on the field didn't stink. There are many people who didn't renew this year after last years season and there were a lot of people who didn't renew when Jim was fired.

Leavitt's defense did work against the Bears the other night...I miss those agressive smash mouth defenses...we didn't win every game, but teams always knew we played them and had ice packs ready for after the game.

BUT we could beat any team on any given Saturday. This current team... Not so much.

It may be beyond the abilities of an institution this seemingly dysfunctional to fix itself. Nevertheless something needs to be done. So what can we (fans) do to help affect change? I would like to believe we are not powerless or without influence in this situation.

Get signs, around 20 or so people, and stand outside the Administration or Athletics offices. Demand answers.

These people have so much money you can't hurt them financially, but the next most precious thing they have is their pride. Embarrass them. Have a Times writer take pictures of you picketing Judy's window. Embarrassing her will force her hand. Writing emails or petitions do nothing, but dragging her out into the public square hurts her reputation. And she won't have that.

But of course we all have lives, so that won't happen.

Hopefully some students will organize something...the ones who care anyway...

One of the first comments in in the comments section brought up how things have gone South since the arrival of McGillis. I've heard the same thing from a few people.
