cant believe people are actually going to jump on the players( these are 18-21 year old kids) who give thier blood sweat and tears for this school and team yet the school (Coaching) is failing them. If we are to be upset it needs to be directed at Doug who gave Skip a raise/extention and the the coaching staff who continue to put them in postion to lose each week in front of their peers, freinds, and family. Shame on you Doug and Skip.

maikon was crying as he left the field

It's got to be heartbreaking to be on the team, hell it's heartbreaking for us. Maikon has been amazing and deserves better then what skip and co can deliver. The coaching staff does not put us in position to be successful.

We need some fire and one conference win in last years is unacceptable with the talent we have....

Dude, what talent are you talking about. There is NO talent on this D. They ALL suck assss. They sucked last year, they suck this year, and they will suck next year unless we get better recruts.

There's no talent on this D?

S: Joyce/Jenkins - Mediocre, but servicable

CB: Webster/Baker - Webster will be drafted

LB: Cliett, Lattimore, Barrington - Lattimore and Barrington will be drafted

DL: Mims, Grissom, Sager, Giddins/Forte - Grissom will be drafted. One of the ends is usually serviceable (Mims).

I'm counting 4 starters on defense that'll probably be drafted. We're not deft of talent. The problem is, they're all Leavitt guys and Cliett is probably the only guy who fits in amongst Dede/Sam (Tashon may eventually).

If you think this D isn't talented, just wait for next year!

I will stand by my position of no talent. You are kidding yourself if you think those you listed will get drafted. No way! Maybe as free agent but NOT drafted.

temple, ball state, etc are loaded with NFL talent. they are head and shoulders more talented than us. I bet skip stands on our sideline and wishes he could coach such talented players.

I agree with you, anyone putting down players is dumb. I don't think any of our players are out there trying to not be successful. As a fan base we should let the players know we support them, as well as voice our displeasure towards the ad and coaching staff.

the players are usf students .they have the same connection to usf that most fans have. their hearts are in it. they bleed green and gold.

the coaches are hired mercenaries. they don't care where they coach as long as they get paid.

I only heard one person getting on the players and they were escorted out; as for skip I think he got off easy and it's only going to get worse for him. He needs the bill Buckner treatment he should be heckled anywhere he goes and refused service. He is a pariah.

I am not calling out specific players. My point is they are not as good as everyone here says they are...terrible coaching makes them even worse. Just because they come from the state of Florida does not guarantee them greatness.

I don't think most of this is on Skip. That is a popular sentiment around here, but our senior class this year may well be the worst as far as team leadership USF has ever had. A head coach doesn't define the character of a team. Seniors have to set that tone. Seniors should be addressing the lack of effort, but instead they pretty much lead it. Skip is to blame only in that he doesn't see the problem or has failed yet to address it.

while this is somewhat true about our senior class... it seems as if we have softened up as a team in the coaching change

This is absolutely true. I think a team takes on the mentality of the coach to some degree.

Sorry, there is no lack of effort. There is plenty of effort, perhaps a lack of talent, but mostly a lack of execution. Daniels does not have bad stats, the defense is horrid and at this point I still place it first on poor play calling and coaching and second on below FBS talent.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
