I hate when things like this happen to young kids making stupid decisions. We will never know his true potential because of these events.

My thoughts and prayers are with the woman he attacked. If there is any validity to the initial police report, he has no business as a student at USF much less a scholarshipped athlete. Bravo to athletics for acting quickly.

Interesting... Has USF ever kick out a student due to allegations or convictions?

If what he's charged with turns out to be true (I have to reason to believe either way) - he shouldn't ever suit up with USF again.

I don't mind looking the other way for showing up to class, but real criminal charges - see ya...

Remember a few years back when a lacrosse team was charged ...

+1 and what's funny is that most media rarely talks about it because of how they portrayed the accused as if they were guilty

What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Innocent or guilty on this particular incident, his judgement is questionable.

So if he's innocent his judgement is questionable?? Why?

Either he did it, or his "girlfriend" is a liar. Correct? What is the possible third scenario that makes his judgement sound?

So EVERY man that has EVER dated a woman who has lied possesses questionable judgement, or does your narrow thinking mindset only apply to this 19-20 year old football player?

really tired of the way our society has taken this ass backward "guilty until proven innocent" mentality.

an ARREST is not conviction. a CHARGE is not a CONVICTION.

until or unless someone is found GUILTY or pleads guilty/no contest a charge is nothing more than an accusation.

the purpose of a trial is to determine the validity of evidence BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT (in a criminal case, the standards are different in civil suits).

if the trial hasn't happened yet, which in this case IT HASN'T, Chris MUST be considered innocent.

sickening. nowadays people lose their jobs, their careers, their scholarships, their educations, their spot on a team, their reputation before a trial date is even scheduled. an arrest is enough to screw somebody for life, even if charges are dropped. charges can screw somebody for life, even if they are found not guilty in a trial.

God forbid anything ever happen to some of u. you'll be BEGGING for the same benefit of the doubt GUARANTEED BY LAW that u are so eager to toss aside for everybody else.

that was beautiful. Well said.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.
