We used to be just as bad as NOva and Georgetown not long ago

Do you seriously believe what you write?

So back in 1997 we were able to beat FSU and Miami?

This helps us.....we are now best FL option for B12......DAville and Natti to B12, Rutgers and Uconn to Big10. This is how its going to play out and lets pray that Judy and company are talking to B12 everyday....

I wonder if ND got the same deal in regards to bowl revenue-- i.e. they get ALL of the BCS type bowl money (yeah-- I know, the BCS will be gone-- the paydays will still be significant).

or splits for bowl revenue otherwise

you can only split that money so many times, especially the hoops dough

ND to ACC. Worth $5MM/yr in BB revenues. Step back away from the ledge. This is not the end of the world. In the long view the ACC is taking over our last remaining nightmare. NBC knew this was gonna happen. ND would have had to approach them re: their current contract.Of course ESPN and it's spinmasters are already claiming that this is the "end of the BE" which they do bi-weekly. Last I checked we still have a football game on Thursday.

We have to get out of the Big East. The conference just turned in to CUSA. I hope Doug is on the phone with the Big 12, but I doubt it. Him and Judy seem overly committed to the Big East, unfortunately.

So you're saying this doesn't further conference instability? I agree. Not a big loss, but in the scheme of things another school has jumped ship.

Bowl access played a big role too though. ND will be selected for bowl games the same as any other ACC team. Imo, it was a good move for them considering the ACC has better bowl tie-ins and they're still Indy (they still aren't committed to the relationship). They moved up pretty much. I don't think they wanted to be associated with Memphis, UCF, Houston, SDSU, etc..

The Garden is renewed. . . but the ACC may try to move their tourney to the new stadium in Brooklyn and draw all the Cuse/Pitt/ND fans who normally fill up the Garden. Then, if you take away G'Town, SJU, and/or Nova, and the Garden will be a ghost town. Might as well play our tourney in a rotating site like in cUSA at that point. Or, can we just have our old 12-team cUSA back?
