That was a pretty awesome interview.  The past is the past.  Impressed with his maturity.  Welcome aboard Chase!

Really like his personality in that interview with Bass where he announced. I'm not usually one to be a sucker for interview personalities but he is almost certainly a very smart guy. And based on what I've seen in the interviews and on the field the way he speaks to his teammates and carries himself, he's already got a good sense for how he needs to be in order to lead men. You can sense that in his accountability talking points as well. Quite frankly I look at guys all the time that are four years older than him and don't have half of his presence of mind in interviews or on the field. It's pretty surprising, given the immaturity in his history. You don't need a kid to be Albert Schweitzer at all times 24 hours a day. But when the cameras are rolling and when teammates are watching, you need a guy that has a natural sense for how he's supposed to act. He has that. In spades.

After watching the interview I agree, I was blown away by his maturity level. Kid really knows how to present himself and speaks very well.

Actual maturity level can be deceiving and a little more difficult to discern. That's a prove it thing. Prove your maturity by staying out of trouble and doing the right thing. You can't get an accurate sense of it just from interviews. I've seen too many guys that look fantastic in interviews and then turn around and do dumb things.

What I try and isolate from the interviews are a guy's intelligence level and social sense. Those are things that are a lot harder to fake. You're going to see them. As far as those go, he's a pro. Very intelligent. Very aware. Very conscious. That can work for you or against you, as people can use intelligence and good social sense to deceive and manipulate. Smart people can do some of the dumbest things, sometimes. That's where the actions speak louder than words and that's where we've yet to see what his actions are going to be. But by all means he looks like a really smart kid that regrets some dumb mistakes he made and has a great sense for how he needs to make up for them. I like that. It will work well in the locker room, I think.

The kid is local and connected already with many of the current players/future players. He also has a chance to recruit some other local recruits like his other WR Artavis Scott.

Let's go show this kid @CL14_ some USF love. Been far to much negative talk on here about a recruit that LOVES becoming a Bull!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
