U.S Army All-American Bowl Selection Process Explained

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Committee comprises two independent scouting entities: Rivals.com and All American Games. Every high school football senior is eligible for selection. The selection process kicks off at the U.S. Army National Combine and proceeds across the country during various combines, camps, and clinics. From millions of high school football players, the selection committee evaluates thousands of the Nation's top prospects on an annual basis. Following the evaluation period, the selection committee officially nominates the Nation's top 400 seniors to be considered for selection to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. From the nominees, players are selected and invited to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl throughout the spring and summer. The selection committee reserves the right to select players who were not nominated in the spring, if they are having an outstanding spring and/or senior season. U.S. Army All-Americans must be in good standing with their schools and communities in order to be considered for selection. The final rosters will be announced in late fall. Nominees who are not selected for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl will receive a letter sent to their high schools in care of their head football coach.

If you'd like to recommend yourself or if you are a coach, parent, athlete, or someone else who would like to recommend an athlete for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, please complete the Player Recommendation Form and scan and e-mail, fax, or mail it to John Schmid at the below, and mail or e-mail a game and/or highlight DVD to John Schmid at the address below.

I think that is Tony Stevens.

Think so to after looking him up. Don't think he's serious, but that would be a huge get.

You never know. He's from Orlando, Evans HS. USF OL Darrell Williams went there and played in 10 games last year as a true freshman. I didn't realize that he also had an offer from FSU. Perhaps, Tony thinks he could get on the field earlier at USF.

He is listed as "soft" verbal to FSU on Rivals. Josh(Noles1st) doesn't even list his USF offer on 247. Someone else from Evans was talking about USF today. This may get real interesting.I'll get back, when I figure out who else was talking. I think we are gonna see a lot of movement after that show AW put on is aired on ESPN. Ima thinking we have some big surprises ahead.

When I posted his Rivals link on the previous page, I didn't even notice that they had him listed as a "soft" verbal. So, maybe he is really looking around.
