If he picks UCLA like I think he will its not about the PT. It will be about getting away from home (I went to USF from Seattle) as well as the education. A UCLA degree is better than a USF or Clemeson degree. Location also factors in; I've lived in Seattle, Tampa, Miami, Boise and now LA and to me LA is the best of hem all; there is everything here and not to knock Tampa or anywhere else (minus Boise.. Idaho sucks) but for me its just a better place to live. You have the weather of FL with the hiking and scenery of Seattle.

If he was going to be "a regular student" (meaning a non-student athlete), I would agree that UCLA is the choice, but why would a kid that is so highly regarded as a QB that is being presented possible opportunities to become a starting D1, BCS level QB go to a school all the way across the country just to sit for 3 years.

The home office for the company I work for is based in LA.  I spend at least 1 week a month there.  Yes, UCLA has a great campus and there is a lot of great things to do in the immediate area.  However, for a kid to go across the country, with a really tough shot to play football, i think it would be a tough situation for him.  Although we just really don't know what is on his mind.

And that's it. None of us really have any idea what goes through the minds of these players ... Wilder's a good example. Supposedly turned down offers from every conference but the Pac 12 but says Cincy and the Big East is the best place for him. What could that possibly be based on?

I'll share my thoughts on the Woulard situation. I think what happened with UCLA is probably the same thing that happened with Clemson. They saw a guy that committed to USF twice, then fell in love with NC State overnight and fell back out of love when the coach was fired. They figured he was an easy person to sway and with his potential why not go after him? What's the worst that can happen, he says no? It almost like they are taking advantage of his ego/non committal attitude. It doesn't matter to them if he never plays, but if he does live up to his potential then they may have a game changer on their hands. He's not going to change their class as much as he would for NC or USF.

Asiantii is probably too caught up in the fact that big time schools are offering him a scholarship to realize that he may not even get the chance to play at either school. Just like when he (or his dad?) wanted an offer from Tenn. I'm sure if USC or Florida or any other big name school went after him he would jump at them too. It just seems like that's the way he wants things. Big time school, presents a big time opportunity, for him to go big.  As some other people have said, he will probably be one of those qb's that will go to a school like UCLA, not play for a few years/lose out on the qb competition and then want to transfer.

If this guy is a program changer at USF or NC State, what makes you think he can't win the QB job at UCLA or Clemson? Its not like these schools have been churning out can't miss QBs...

24/7 doesn't list him having an offer from Clemson. Rivals does. Interesting.

For a high school kid out of Florida, I think a UCLA offer would be a head turner.  LA may not be my kind of place but it would be a bright, shiny new world to a teenager.  If USF is going to compete for top talent it this is part of the struggle.

I am predicting he won't come to USF.

I could create an article on Bleacher Report saying that I predict he will end up joining the Navy and run the option for the Academy. That site is a sesspool of poor writing.
