Trip- I believe Skin said it. I'm on an iPhone- its hard enough to type on the darn thing. JTrue- agree about Selvie and Nate Allen (Allen was a stud in HS tho). My point is people see 4*s and see him starting immediately. Dude could be the next Carlton Hill or the next Teddy B. Day one he is not the best QB on the roster.

I agree. QB's a tough position to predict. Carlton Hill, man, I thought he was going to do something special. Not!

I just watch Woulard's video on scouts.com and he didn't impress me all that much. He's got the physical attributes but it's a very heady game in college.

This guy is a 50/50 shot at best as a solid QB.

He went to Elite 11 after playing QB on ONE year.  To win it just doesn't happen if you aren't there mentally.

This is going to be a very huge loss.

Data- it would be a big loss- I agree. Do you think he starts right away? I used to play a little 7-7 with my friends as well. I could tear it up and have a pretty big arm. When people start blitzing it's totally different. The best QB doesn't throw deep bombs- he reads the blitz and hits the check down. I'd love to have him, I think he has a crazy high ceiling. I am just confused why numerous people seem to think he solves our QB problems right away.

He doesn't solve them right away, but one thing worth going crazy over is the amount of potential. Recruiting is 40% how good you are, 60% how good you can be.

Ah, but there is a difference. He was MVP at the most prestigious QB camp in America. He appeared to have the right stuff with that camps staff and sits in some great company such as Tebow.

Obviously it depends on if he turns out to be the real deal.  But I think he would start here at some point in year one.  The thing about the Elite 11 is that they made it as complicated as possible and graded them on making the right reads as much or more than the physical talent.  The playbook was very large, and AW apparently excelled in the classroom and was able to carry it on to the field.  Sure, it's different when the bullets fly.  But Taggart's offense relies heavily on the QB being able to read the defense pre-snap.  This kid seems to have that skill.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
