If Holtz is gone, Woulard is gone.

Also what about the six months away from the game? Will it be like riding a bike for him?

And 6 fewer months to really learn that QB position...

Or since he won't be practicing, he will have 6 months to study film.

I keep hearing this but don't know why....

If Holtz stays and so does Woulard, I don't know why...

no matter the coach, it's still a good situation to come in and compete for a starting spot

yesterday he tweeted that it should be more like 2 and half months rather than 6

I see that he is friends with a few USF cheerleaders, let's not look over this fact. Let's hope they put on some good ole USF charm on this kid.

Suffered exactly this same injury. Was active again in six months, and recovered fully. I do not know if this stud's recovery procedures will be the same as mine, but I now have a rod in my lower leg. Although upon full recovery, it serves no real purpose. Have passed many demanding military physicals since the injury and attended some rigorous courses.

If his healing is similar, this should not adversely affect his physical future.

Hope he experiences the same quick path to health I was fortunate to find.

If its just a fibula fx its not a problem. The chips around the ankle needs to be clarified though. Usually for a fibula fracture they put a plate on the side with screws. Or they can hammer a rod up from the bottom. Depends on the MD. I worked with an MD that designed a plate that he used for that type fracture, the Kennedy Plate.

I sort of disagree. When I broke my fibula, I also cracked my ankle and had the debris in there, like described by Woulard. I had a pin placed in my ankle, but had it removed upon recovery.

My point, however, is to indicate that I am absolutely assured he will recover fully. I would argue that the activities I have done on my repaired leg (injury occurred in Dec 2009) on more impactful than Woulard should expect to encounter on the football field. I have had zero problems. Nor should he.

That's all. Just wanted to lend some reassurance based on a similar experience.

Back to lurking :)

Hope he decides tocome here, but can't blame him if he doesn't, apathetic fanbase, terrible coach, complete laughing stock of a conference, why would someone with his opportunities walk into this circus?
