This is why it's better to just not get involved in this cr@p until signing day is over.

Anyone who doesn't see this kid as an upgrade to our currently available QB pool isn't paying attention.

Yea forgot Floyd was recruited hard by Southern Miss and FIU, man what a stud. Don't forget that walk-on Eveld, man all those offers he got!

Woulard has Tennessee, NC State, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Wake Forest and a lot more coming after him now...those schools must not know what they're talking about eh?

Grothe had I believe 0 offers to play QB from big programs. Carlton Hill had offers from Miami, etc. many programs recruit on potential.

even Brion Carnes, who was god awful as a QB, signed with Nebraska.

94 - I am sry but you are not only wrong about AW but you are dead wrong. AW won the MVP at Elite 11 but no he didnt win it on 2 passes. He won it based on his performace throughout the weekend and those passes cemented his MVP. I think I will take the opinion of the Elite 11 experts who's alumni include - Vince Young, Tim Tebow, Troy Smith, Matt Stafford, Andrew Luck, Geno Smith, Josh Freeman, Jake Locker, Teddy Bridgewater, Aj McCarnnon who all have had pretty good college careers. Now you keep spouting off about AW's HS numbers that he is average with out giving all the facts. I guess you forgot to mention that AW is playing for 4-5 UCF expalyers and coaches that were pushing him to UCF and when he wouldnt look at them began not calling passing plays and having him run the ball 20+times a game, or that his offense line is beyond horrible, or that his best receiver graduated and is playing for USF this year, and so on. AW is a legit 6'4" 220+lbs, he has a rocket for an arm, and can run. He is still earning but I think I will take all the info from the professional scouts and coaches that have watched him play and perform and take their word for it before I listen to a internet hack like yourself.

You can't blame the kid for keeping his options open. I would do the same, albeit differently. If I was a recruit I wouldn't make a commitment until all my options were presented to me and only after I seriously weighed the pros and cons of each team's offer. What I don't like is when a recruit commits to a team, then decommits, etc. In my opinion this goes toward the character of the recruit. AW will have to weigh the pros and cons of perhaps going to a better program, but will definitely sit out at least one year (guaranteed, even if promised otherwise...its part of the game at these other programs). While at USF, he will have a true shot to play as a true Freshman, if he earns it.

Wait until after he finishes his visit. There's probably not much to report on at this point other than yes he's on a visit.

so his coaches are holding him back because he wouldn't commit to ucf? wow. you would think they would be more concerned with keeping their jobs than sabotaging his career. 3-6 and missing playoffs just to sabotage his career sounds a little fishy. 150 yards passing and just over 1 passing TD per game. BTW not letting him pass would actually be better for USF, No? if he put up video game numbers against high school competition then he would get better offers. I know he lost a receiver last year but doesn't he have a guy that we have already offered? I think UNC did as well too.

it seems as though he has all the potential in the world. he certainly has the measurables but that doesn't guarantee anything. I hope he comes here and i hope he can win the heisman. I have seen it year after year though where the fanboys come out and think some QB high school recruit will come in and save our program. maybe if they showed our current QBs some respect by not essentially saying they aren't worth the ground he walks on I wouldn't have to point out that the kid is raw and will need to be developed.

it's like getting married and then going on a date.

in fairness to him though, I think he was way under radar when he committed to us. things have changed since he won the elite 11. I don't blame him if other options have opened up for him. must be tough on a kid his age.

He actually has pretty good stats for a kid that only plays half the game. His coaches have some sort of vandeta against him, most schools with an elite 11 QB wouldn't play him half the time. 10 TDs to 2 ints doesn't make it look like he has a turnover problem either. I think he's pretty squarely set on USF unless our coaching staff gets bounced. I'm sure he wants a back up plan just in case USF gets fully dismantled this spring. I would...

Probably doesn't want to put words in his son's mouth either. In the end it's his son's decision not his... He can say all he wants but if AW goes up there and completely falls in love with it what is he going to do? Say well I told a bunch of guys on USF's sports forum that you were just doing this for fun?? No...

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
