Hahahaha, Steve Addazio is their coach ... if he had done a better job at Florida as OC, he could have gotten a better job.  I don't see Temple going anywhere.

wouldn't mind as long as there is a three year clause that if they regress they can be booted.

I am not sure where I read it, but at the time that Temple was dismissed from the Big East they were winning more than Rutgers was and Rutgers apparently had enough pull to get them booted.

I guess it's better to get a team that can't beat anybody in the BE.

Perception is dangerous.  Temple getting kicked out of the BE had very little to do with winning more than Rutgers.  When the BE (football) formed Rutgers, WVU and Va. Tech all wanted full membership into the BE.  By the time Temple was threaten to be kicked out of the BE the Rutgers, WVU and Va. Tech were full BE members.  Temple on the other hand stated they were very happy with the all of their sports to remain in the A10.  Add issues with the Vet (Temple's homefield) didn't help Temple's case with the BE.  The BE had to base their entire league schedule around the Phillies for all of Sept. and Oct.  Combine that issues with the fact Temple was drawing less than 10K to most games (Vets seated 65K) only made things worse.  Not to be forgotten was every BE members continue to invest into their program with upgrades in facilities.  Only recent ('06) did Temple upgrade any football related facility.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
