Big East Now versus Then

Someone should do an article on the Big East now compared to when it had Miami.  Miami won 2 National Championships in the Big East, now with them gone is the conference less than what it was?    Was the combination of VT, Miami, and WVA better than what the teams now?

You can also argue that the ACC didn't get stronger with the addition of VT, Miami, and BC.

No I am not saying BC was not a Big East contender, but only tied for conference champions in 2004 and never outright one it.
