Why not take in the revenues?  People bring in & drink beer anyway, so why not take in revenue from beer sales in the stadium?  Apply the rules, no sales to minors, and all should be the status quo + increased revenues.

this is not a big issue for me, if you have a lengthy tailgate, do you really need to keep purchasing $9 old watered down beers? It also helps out with less drunk drivers on the road after the game, people still can sneak in alcohol easily at most on campus stadiums but it helps to have most lay off the alcohol for 3+ hours before jumping in a car

Even with beer in Rayjay i very rarely drink at any of our games.  The price for a low quality adjunct lager just isn't appealing to me and even if they had high quality options i would at most have 1 in the stadium.  Gives me time to sober up so i can either go out or go BBQ and drink somewhere with friends after the game.

Surprised, I thought most all stadiums served beer.  I know they do in the VILLE.

I've saved a nice sum of duckets since I stopped drinking inside Ray Jay. I'd rather spend 5-8 for a nice craft brew at The Independent.

I believe this to be true.  When I went to UF games b/w 94-98 they did not sell alcohol in the swamp; maybe things have since changed.

Cigar City is right by the stadium too.

It really just depends.  Beer isn't sold at UF games, I believe, because it's an SEC rule.  I know UGA doesn't sell beer at Sanford Stadium, and I don't believe Auburn did at Jordan-Hare.  I'm pretty sure unless there's a state law or conference mandate, etc, it just varies by whatever the school wants to do.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
