College License Plates in Florida (USF #4)

FYI, all professional sports themed plates give 55% of revenues to the Professional Sports Development Trust Fund, and 45% to the Florida Sports Foundation, which is a group that helps promote sports for youth. So, no professional teams get any money out of license plate sales.

All college plates receive plate money to go the university for academic enhancement (though who knows where that money ultimately goes).

Interestingly enough, Georgia has a specialty license plate for FLORIDA State. I saw one the other day. Neat. Apparently some states have specialty plates for other states' affiliations, if the demand is there.

A lot of TX plates here are for LSU for some weird reason...

I was very surprised to see the number was that low.  Only in the 8,000s?  Are those 1 year registration numbers or accumulated totals over the years?

I bet that 80% or more of the UM plates were purchased by people that have not even stepped foot on a college campus.

And 80% of all plates are manufactured by their alumni.  <rim shot>

I dont know if the # were used where tags renewed upto a certain date in 2010 but 2010 isnt over yet. I cant imagine USF losing 7000+tags aswell as UF losing 60,000+ tags
