Sorry Polkcounty I have to disagree.

Grothe >= Blackwell > Daniels > Gunsby

For now. This can change of course.

Grothe < BJ < Gunsby < Next years QB recruit

That sums up this thread.

I agree with how he see's this thread. As fans we are a what have you done for me lately(this is a generalization). Look up there in Philly and how the fans turned on McNabb no matter how much he gave them. Unless a QB wins us a conference or even a NC, fans will turn on them. It's just the way it is.

I see amazing potential in BJ, just like everyone else, but I also see the fact that we are reigning him in is going to lead us to the same problems that Ohio State has had with Terrell Pryor. I have all the faith in BJ, he's a smart young man with a great head on his shoulders and I think he will get through this difficult time just fine.

wow, so we haven't even played an actual game and people are already calling for his head?  ::)

(even if they're not actually saying it)

Are you new around here?  ;D

I'm surprised they aren't dissing Gunsby already, on the basis of his one scrimmage.  In order to get out in front of the board, you have to say something like:

Why does our 2020 QB recruit suck so badly???  I was watching his first Pop Warner game, and he'll never make it in our system.  We should be recruiting someone from California!

Ah, the backup QB, the most popular player on every team.

Remember how popular Daniels was behind the inept Grothe fella we had?

Yeah no **** it's amazing the way some people react to the first scrimmage of camp.

I just figured it wouldn't start until the first time BJ threw an interception or got sacked in an actual game  :P

But I guess i'm not that surprised.

For me, it won't start until the next time the QB runs out of bounds behind the line of scrimage in a game.

tough crowd...

I think there is a lot of room for improvement on the entire offensive side...we have a lot of youth and inexperience on that side of the ball.

let's also remember we play some cream puffs the first 3 out of 4 games...so they can work on a few things there too.

And if we all went by how qb's were on the first scrimmage or pre-season action Tebow would be starting for more then half of the NFL teams...lets calm down

How about the offensive line too. Seems like there were a bunch of sacks and horrible efficiency running the football. This was a position of strength for us with all the experience we had coming back.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
