I said this on GA's blog and I'll say it here. When BJ is awesome he is unbelievable. When he is bad he is HORRIBLE. If we can get BJ to play to 75 to 80% of his awesomeness every game (aka consistency) our team would be VERY good. That is a big leap though.

Yeah, but I seriously doubt that will happen anytime soon.  Gunsby is still a true freshman.  I am starting to wonder just a little bit about Daniels' inconsistency.  Perhaps we'll see Gunsby here and there if BJ is having a bad week.

The spread was a great offense for Daniels because it put the ball in his hands as a runner. We also know he has a big arm. I think it is still too early to know what he will do in Sjip's offense because we don't know Skip will use him. I doubt we will know until the first game.

My concern for the team, this year, is that if we take the running burden off Daniels there is no one on the team that has shown he can pick up the slack. If someone does emerge it will be a surprise. What we saw yesterday from the RBs and from the line was consistent with what we have seen the last few years and the reason why we ran the spread in the first place.
