Even if the Birmingham Bowl goes under, there will be another ready to take its place the next year, so there will always be bowl games that some self appointed, uber fans will consider 'meaningless.'

Hopefully the new sponsor will chip in some more dough for a better game day atmosphere... didn't this game take place in a dry county or something like that? I did not go but remember there being something funky about B'Ham.

Curious who you would like to see replace Papa Johns.  I could see Sonny's BBQ becoming a sponsor.  They are pretty large, though not hq'ed in Birmingham.
